Versatility & Power

No dredging projects are alike but during the past 3 decades, IMS Dredges have successfully been put to use in thousands of applications worldwide, in particular:

     -  Marinas and ports                                   - Sand extraction
     -  Eutrophied lakes                                     - Tailings ponds
     -  Canals, rivers and beaches                       - Lagoons

IMS Dredges are without a doubt easier to transport, manoeuver and operate than any dredge in its class.  With joystick controls and digital displays, operators have no trouble operating the units. Start up takes just a few hours and training just a few days.

The Versi-Dredge line got its name from the exceptional versatility of its dredges, which are designed to tackle just about any job thanks to their being equipped with a unique propulsion system (StarWheel Drive).  This enables a single operator to manoeuver the dredge without having to use anchors, spuds, cables or tender boat.

The Versi-Dredges come in 2 varieties (High Power / Low Power) and can operate at a maximum depth of 9.1 meters (30 feet).

The Depth Master is ideal for ports and dams, capable of dredging to 18.3 meters depth (60 feet).

When clearing marshes and counteracting eutrophication in lakes, the IMS WeedMaster is an ideal choice. Its unique feature is that one can both dredge and use it as a weed harvester simply by switching the cutterhead. This two-in-one machine obviates the need for first loading weeds onto barges and then unloading.

The Versi-Dredge models can be equipped with a chopper pump that enables it to dredge and chop up garbage such as plastic bottles, fish nets and other refuse that is typically found in marine environments.
